Coffee-Sipping Truths

Ok, so maybe it has been too hot for me to really want coffee lately (which is very unlike me), but today I woke up really wanting some good coffee.  So, after some work at Display It this morning, and a very important appointment, I decided to spend my afternoon working at PJ’s coffee at Town Center in Suwanee.  I love this place.  It is one of the reasons I felt compelled to start Connection Church in Suwanee.  The coffee is good, they have free wi-fi, and the people that work here are friendly.  However, as I sip my coffee, what hits me is that this is a great reminder of the community God allows me to serve.

There have been all races and ethnicities in here today.  There are a few business guys in and out working.  Two different groups of students have been in here studying.  I have seen people meet and catch up.  It just reminds me that Suwanee is full of people in various stages of life with different passions and different callings.  The thing that unites everyone here (myself included) is a need for forgiveness.  We all need the love and grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Right now, there are 9 other people here.  Studies show me that at least 3 of them do not have a relationship with Christ or a community of faith.  My calling is to work so that one day 0 of them will be able to say that.

So, sipping coffee today has served as a powerful reminder of why I do what I do and why I do it where I do it.  Have you been reminded lately?
